Resiliency, Mental Health and Social Participation among Refugees (RMSR)
RMSR focuses on the conditions that promote mental health, social participation and sources of resiliency among those who have been forced to flee their homes because of war, violence and persecution. Despite the refugee populations’ heightened vulnerability as a result of exposure to harsh life conditions and adverse events and losses, there is a profound need to understand the remarkable strength, adaptation, and growth in resettlement that refugees have always displayed.
RMSR embraces robust and comprehensive scientific approaches for broadening and deepening the knowledge of risk and protective factors in refugees’ lives in resettlement.
