Shima Nazari | Post-doctoral Resarch affilate (Anknuten)

I am a Post-doctoral Research affiliate at the Swedish Red Cross University College. My research project is about ‘perceptions of conscience, stress of conscience, and burnout among Persian-speaking professional caregivers of older adults with dementia, in Iran and Sweden. The project, which is a collaborations between researchers from Sweden and Iran, focuses on the perspectives and experiences of professional caregivers who work with older people with dementia and has a mix-method approach. Data collection methods include individual interviews as well as three questionnaires. The data collection of the first Swedish sub-study has started in spring 2018. The data collection of the counterpart study in Iran will start in November, 2018. 

I am working as assistant professor at Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) in Tehran, Iran. My master degree is in psychiatric nursing and my PhD in Gerontology. I have written my PhD dissertation about social support among older people, which I defended it, 2015. I have developed a scale for measuring perceived social support among community dwelling older adults which I have tested it in my later studies. I have working experience in the field of care of older adults and I have worked as a clinical nurse for 7 years. I also as a researcher and assistant research at University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences for more than 6 years.
