About us

We have trained nurses for the future since 1866.

The Swedish Red Cross University College (SRCUC) is a state-funded independent university affiliated to the Swedish Red Cross. It is one of five cooperating higher education institutions within the Flemingsberg’s campus in Stockholm, Sweden's eighth largest campus area. Although the SRCUC was founded in 1866 it is a modern university with a unique national and international profile focusing on health issues regarding global nursing and global health, as well as representing the humanitarian- and civil sectors health areas. The SRCUC educate nurses at undergraduate and advanced levels, and is accredited to award degrees in public health science.

We offer an inclusive learning environment where a Student Council, involved in the promotion and development of education, represents student interests. At present, the University College has more than 70 employees and around 850 students.

We cherish our history and follow with pride all qualified nurses wearing their Red Cross nursing brooch throughout their professional career.
